Cricket cage (about 2-1/2" tall)

While Mariko-san and I were at Junkudo Book Store, we ventured on to an exhibit of cricket photographs and the cages that many Japanese have used in the past to keep crickets once captured.

Lots of very large photographs were displayed on the walls.

I think the cricket cages were the most fascinating:  delicate with fine, thin strips of bamboo were used to construct these small cages.
