Postcard from Japan: Saturday, October 22, 2016, Part Two


This short post will be about the lovely manhole covers in the city of Himeji.  The theme is the crane since Himeji means "white heron."

This is possibly for firefighters' access to water as the 2nd
character in the left group mean fire.


A small one the says "Water Road" on top and "barubu" on the
bottom.....
